250 CHANNEL CAPACITY (Conventional Mode)

Functioning as a high-performance "Conventional" mode radio, in addition to it's Trunking capability, the VX-310 provides operation on as many as 250 programmable channels.

32 SYSTEM CAPABILITY (Trunking Mode)

Unmatched versatility in operation is provided by the VX-310's huge 32 System/250 Group capability during Trunking operation.

DUAL MODE OPERATION (Conventional & LTR)

Multiple communications requirements are no challenge for the VX-310, which may be programmed for both Conventional and LTR® utilization.

4 WATTS POWER OUTPUT (Selectable to 2 watts)

For local-area work, the 2-Watt selection provides extended battery life, while the 4-Watt setting provides wide range coverage.

12.5/25 KHz BANDWIDTH, PROGRAMMABLE BY CHANNEL

For operation in mixed-bandwidth environments, the VX-310 may be programmed by channel, for both 12.5 and 25 KHz environments.

10 CHARACTER ALPHA DISPLAY

The easy-to-read Dot Matrix LCD includes provision for display of up to 10 Alphanumeric characters.

ALPHA TAGGING FOR SYSTEM/GROUP

To aid in operating convenience, both the System and Group may be labeled for display on the Dot Matrix LCD.

PASSPORT™ DISPATCH NETWORKING

The VX-310 is fully compatible with the passport™ Dispatch Networking protocol, which expands the basic LTR® capability to allow networking of multiple LTR® sites.

CTCSS/DCS ENCODE & DECODE

High-performance Encoder/Decoder circuits for both CTCSS and Digital Code Squelch are provided, for access to tone/code controlled systems. An expanded 50-Tone CTCSS Tone List ensures compatibility with newer systems.

BUILT-IN 2-T0NE DECODE (Conventional Mode)

For selective calling from a dispatcher, a 2-tone Decoder circuit is built into every VX-310.

BUILT-IN DTMF DECODE (Conventional Mode)

Selective calling is also provided via the built in DTMF Decoder, ideal for paging of selected portables.

ONE TOUCH MEMORY DIAL (Trunking Mode)

Maximum subscriber convenience during telephone-interconnect operation is provided by the One-Touch Memory Dial feature.

PRIORITY SCAN

During Conventional operation, a particularly important channel may be designated as a "Priority" channel to be checked regularly while scanning.

DTMF ANI (Trunking Mode)

The portable may be assigned a three-digit Automatic Number Identification (ANI) DTMF string, to confirm the identity of a subscriber (or track a stolen portable).

SIMULTANEOUS CONVENTIONAL + LTR® SCANNING

A unique feature of the VX-310 is it's ability to perform both Conventional and LTR® scanning simultaneously, if the portable is configured for both operating systems.

SYSTEM/GROUP SCAN (Trunking Mode)

The VX-310 may be programmed to allow scanning of the entire Trunked System, or just a particular Group on the System.

CALL VERIFY/CALL ALERT (Trunking Mode)

Call Verify provides a transponder "handshake" during Trunking-System calling, while "Call Alert" provides an audible "Beep" to alert the user to an incoming call.

INTRINSICALLY SAFE APPROVALS

The VX-310 has been given an intrinsically safe rating for use in ANSI/UL-913-88 Division I, Groups C&D, Class II, Groups E, F, and G, and Class III, as well as Division II, Class I, Groups C&D, Class II, Groups F&G, and Class III hazardous environments, on models ordered with the Intrinsically Safe option.
